The 'Quiet' Approach

We offer a variety of tours utilizing 'quiet sport' options, including kayaking, bicycling, hiking, and 4x4. The quieter the vehicle and the slower the method of travel, the more you encounter.
Our Location or Yours
Our choice is the heart of the Everglades, the Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park.

Bicycle, Auto, Dry Hike & Swamp Walk tour locations vary within the Fakahatchee Strand.

Mangrove Kayaking tour location may vary, depending on the season and tide.

Though we favor the 'Fak,' we are happy to act as your guides-for-hire in another
​nearby, location of your choosing.

The Florida Everglades
Congratulations! If you are visiting this website, it means that you are about to become a part of an elite, small group of travelers who experience the real Florida. Most visitors to Florida attend Disney World, the beach, or a golf course. Less than five percent of visitors to the sunshine state venture into the wilderness to get a taste of what Florida is really all about. Even fewer do so by way of one of Florida’s many springs, rivers, or lakes. 
 
The Florida Everglades, also known as the River of Grass, is a unique ecosystem. The is no other place like it on Earth. Many people share the misconception that “The Everglades” is Everglades National Park, but the park only protects about 20% of the total area that make up the River of Grass. The Everglades is vast, stretching from the headwaters of the Kissimmee River all the way to Florida Bay and to the Gulf on the west side and the Atlantic to the east. It is also exponentially diverse, bragging nine unique habitats, more than 40 mammal species, over 360 species of birds, and numerous other species of reptile, amphibian, and insect. 47 native orchid species occur across the Everglades, in addition to about 750 other kinds of native seed-bearing plants.

Discover which of our Everglades Immersive Nature Tour options is the best fit for you. Our "land" tours encompass the history, culture and natural features of the Strand Swamp, while our kayak tour discovers the history, culture and natural features of the Mangrove Forest.
Small Group Personalized Tours
We work with your schedule to provide the tour you want, when you want. Also, we prefer a small group approach, allowing us to direct extra attention to your particular interests, share more information, and answer all of your questions. We enjoy making new friends on every tour. :)
Custom & Private Tours
Most every tour is custom or private because of our reservation and scheduling style. However, we're happy to take it further with custom combination tours and completely private tours at no extra charge; 2-person minimum. Let us create your perfect Everglades experience!
