Kick-start the month with quality time in the great outdoors. Join TNT Explore Nature on the First Friday of each month for a two-hour hiking adventure in the Everglades' Fakahatchee Strand. Feast your eyes on the beautiful landscapes and all that dwell within. Many of the plants and animals found here can be found no place else in the world. Enjoy a moderately paced walk while exploring one of the most unique and bio-diverse places on earth, the Fakahatchee Strand.
The duration of this tour is approximately two-hours; 9:00-11:00AM. This tour is suitable for all ages however, please note, trails are not stroller friendly.
**Register for the first four months (January-April) and the fifth month (May) is free!

Guests will enjoy the beauty of the Everglades while learning about the unique culture and history, and the diverse plant and animal life, that call this wondrous place home. This is the perfect family adventure for all ages.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
- The meeting location for the First Friday Everglades Hike is different each month. You will receive specific information about the meeting location in your confirmation email, once your reservation has been secured.
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour start time for check-in.
- There are restrooms at the park entrance, only. No other facilities are available.
- You do not need to obtain a parking pass; one will be provided for you.
- Trails are heavily shaded (*except the Prairie Tram), but there are also sunny areas. Sunglasses, hat and sunscreen are recommended.
- At certain times of the day, mosquitos and other insects can be a nuisance. Insect repellent is recommended.
- Comfortable clothing and comfortable (enclosed) walking shoes are recommended. Consider weather/temperatures. Long sleeve shirts, long pants, and tennis/hiking shoes are encouraged.
- If there is rain in the forecast, a rain jacket and non-slip shoes are recommended.
- The trails are very scenic. We strongly encourage guests to bring a camera, and binoculars or spotting scope.
- A (reusable!) bottle of water is recommended.
- Cash for tips is recommended. (No ATM available.)
